I will dominate 'credible fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Former twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the novice is still one of boxing's largest financial successes, regularly earning massive earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As both boxers met for the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really happening.
